Advanced Diploma Of Government
(Leadership And Management)

Course Overview

The competencies covered in this program are drawn from the Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB60420) and the Advanced Diploma of Government – Management (PSP60122) under the Australian Business Services and Public Sector Training Packages. These qualifications provide a strong foundation in leadership, management, and public sector governance skills relevant to professional practice.

Target Group

This program is for PNG public servants as part of the recently approved Public Service Training Policy. The course participants are serving Heads of Departments/Agencies, who have many years of experience within their respective department, provincial administrations and state entities, or they have completed the Certificate in Leadership and Management core courses. Learners are all nationals and will have undergone the Public Service Induction course offered by SILAG at some point during their entry into the PNG public service.

Entry Requirements

Those who are interested to undertake this program are serving Heads of Departments/Agencies, who have many years of experience within their respective department, provincial administrations and state entities, or they have completed the Certificate in Leadership and Management core courses and other Diploma courses.

Pathways

As usual, career pathways are available to be pursued at the related Bachelor or Master’s degree level programs within PNG or abroad.
